Thai Shadow Stick Puppet Framed Thai Nang Yai Woman #1

Description

This exotic puppet is about 14" tall and is moved by two long poles attached to her hands. Her head and hands look like they are made of paper mache or possibly painted wood, and looks to be in excelent condition. I was told that it is a Thai Nang Yai puppet from the woman I bought it from. She was a world traveler and very much into asian art and artifacts.
It is mounted in a wooden shadow box with woven background. I am unsure if the woman mounted them herself because the frame on the back has a black tape as the seal. Just unsure if this was a professional mount. The wood does show minor scratches but nothing bad when hung on the wall. I have 3 of these so please check my other listings for the others. What a beautiful set!
The frame measures approx 19 1/2" x 13 1/4"
